Minor staining to boards. Gilt titling to spine faded in parts but still legible. Top edge of page block stained dark green, as issued. Front paste-down and ffep with plain-pencilled bookseller notes. No permanent previous owner markings found. Trace of dark-staining to gutter between pp. 12 and 13. Two short tears to top edge of leaf comprising pp. 102-3, with associated creasing, far above text. Tiny hole (2mm * 5mm approx.) in outer margin of leaf comprising pp. 149-150, bordered by small droplet-like greyish stain, far from text. No other faults found. A near-very-good copy overall.
