Binding remains strong throughout. Ffep with old plain-pencilled price marking in corner. Diagonal creasing to pp. 11-16 (heaviest on the leaf comprising pp. 15-16), and tiny marginal tear to outer edge of leaf comprising pp. 199-200, far from text. Index shows signs of having been thumbed through by someone with traces of ink on their fingers, imparting a very mild halo of ink smudging to parts of it, without detriment to reading. The rest of the book is very clean. No deliberate markings or other faults found to any printed page. Overall, a very good copy of this rare and sought-after early edition. |
