[1] A series of publications jointly directed at the time by the late Paolo Lucentini and Vittoria Perrone Compagni. As of 2015, no new volume has appeared in the series since this one in 2006.

[2] A critical edition of the Latin text, preceded by a lengthy study by Mark D. Delp and an introduction by Paolo Lucentini. The text is thought to have been composed in the latter half of the twelfth century.

[3] A series of publications directed at the time by the late Paolo Luicentini, together with an editorial committee comprising Lucia Ghilla, Sylvain Matton and Vittoria Perrone Compagni

[4] A critical edition of the Latin text, as found in a manuscript held at the British Library, with numerous scholarly footnotes comparing with ancient Greek sources

[5] The text of a French manuscript translation of just these chapters, held at the Bibliothèque Nationale, Paris

[6] DNB records give 1966

[7] The full title on the inner title page. On the front cover, it is reduced and re-ordered to ‘The Hand of God On the Wall: Spiritual Astrology’

[7a] Library records variously estimate 1955 or 1956. Appears to be a misattributed extract from a German translation of a much longer English-language 19th century work credited to John F. W. Herschel (1792-1871), probably ‘A Treatise on Astronomy’ (London, 1833). The German translation from which this extract is drawn was published as ‘Populäre Astronomie’ in Leipzig in 1838, and was rendered by a Julius Michaelis. The editor of this Baumgartner Verlag edition misattributes the authorship of the source edition to Friedrich Wilhelm Herschel (1738-1822), the discoverer of Uranus, who was John Herschel’s originally German father

[8] Although nominally identified as the final issue of the periodical Astrologie in Onderzook (q.v. in Dutch-language periodicals section), this was marketed and presented as a standalone hardback book and is therefore featured in the books section. The contents are divided into a brief history of Astrologie in Onderzoek (pp. 1-8), summaries of 110 Dutch astrological research articles (pp. 9-84), a personal memorandum by Rudolf Smit (pp. 85-8), a memorial tribute to Michel and Françoise Gauquelin (pp. 89-136), and an extensive discussion of “The case for and against astrology” (pp. 137-364)

[9] Lacks the four successive leaves comprising pp. 51-8

[10] A series of facsimile reproductions of early printed books

[11] Monochrome facsimile reprint of the original edition (q. v. above). For the relevant book by John Chamber to which this work was a response, also in this series of reprints, see under Chamber, John, above

[12] The date of the original printing is given as June, 1970, and that of the sixteetn as April, 1976. The dates of the other impressions are not shown. On the dj rear flap of this edition, it is noted that the author passed away in June 1980

[13] Pseud. of Jean Rozières

[13a] A compendium of chiefly zodiacal and planetary poems by the author, many of them previously published in assorted newspapers and magazines, including two astrological ones (The Astrological Review and CAO Times). Some of the poems are on other themes but typically include references to ancient mythology

[14] Worldcat suggests 1895

[15] A marginally earlier copyright date of 2004 is carried, but there is no indication that there was a printing before this one

[15a] No dating for the original edition is given

[16] Not in Worldcat. Guessed to date from the late 1990s or early 2000s. It amounts to a combined reprint of two articles, one by Hill alone, previously published in American Astrology in 1994 and reprinted by Borderland Sciences Research Foundation in 1996; and the other by Hill and Pollit together, first published in the NCGR Journal, Winter 1986-87. The date of this edition could therefore conceivably be any time from 1997 onwards. There are two printing errors: the table of contents lists the articles in the wrong order, assigning pp. 1-16 to the combined article when they belong to that of Hill alone; and the copyright page belongs to the book “The Mars Redhead Files”, q. v., having evidently been copied across as a template but left unamended. Thus, the correct copyright page is missing

[17] A compilation of seven articles by Hill and one by Hill together with Jacalyn Thompson. Most of the articles  first appeared in or at least were submitted to one of the following astrological magazines: Above & Below; the NCGR Journal; The Mountain Astrologer; and Borderland Sciences Research Foundation
