hb George, Llewellyn A to Z Horoscope Maker and Delineator: an American Textbook of Genethliacal Astrology 8th Llewellyn Publications Ltd., Los Angeles, California 1943 £85 Collates complete: [5] + [pp. 8-749] + 1 page of advertisements. Complete with 6-panel fold-out star map tipped in to rear paste-down, as issued. Original limp pebbled cloth in good+ condition, with moderate rubbing to extremities of spine, especially at hinges, and to outer corners and parts of bottom edges of boards; light rubbing along remainder of spine hinges and to outer and upper edges of boards. The pictorial gilt design to the front board is in reasonably bright condition for its age; the equivalent one to the spine slightly more faded but the text is still clear to read. Internally an excellent, clean and strongly bound copy. Hinges between pale blue endpapers intact. Very occasional traces of foxing to margins, but paper still bright. Minor corrected dog-ear to upper outer corner of leaf comprising pp. 707-8. Fold-out star map tipped in to rear paste-down remains in excellent condition (pictured). Overall, this is a very good+ copy: externally good+, internally near-fine.
