[0] Includes, from p. 233 to p. 322, a French translation by Llacer of J.-B. Morin’s “La kabbale des douze maisons”, from the original Latin of the Astrologia Gallica, Book XVII, Section 1, with annotations by Labouré

[1] “Avec la participation technique de Robert Malzac”

[2] A series of publications collectively edited by Joanne Esner. The books in this series have erratically printed pagination, with many unnumbered pages at the end of chapters and where illustrations are present. The range of pages between the earliest printed and the latest printed numbered page has been shown, but there are many between that have no page number printed, and I have not attempted to show these details

[2a] A series of publications collectively edited by Barend J. ter Haar and Maghiel van Crevel, in co-operation with a team of five other scholars

[2b] A compendium of 20 studies by 21 different scholars including the editor. Some of the studies concern astrology

[2c] A subseries of publications collectively edited at this time by Stephen F. Teiser, Martin Kern, Timothy Brook and Paul W. Kroll

[2d] A compendium of 12 essays by different scholars, including Lu, prefaced by a lengthy introduction by Lackner

[2e] A series of publications collectively edited at this time by Chia-Feng Chang, Michael Lackner, Klaus Herbers and Alexander Fidora

[3] Front cover legend thus. On inner title page, the title is given as simply ‘l’Astrologie Énergétique’.

[3a] A series of publications collectively edited by Jerrold S. Cooper of Johns Hopkins University

[3b] Believed to be Louis-Marie Canet, 1883-1958, author of a brief biographical sketch of Cumont within Cumont’s posthumously issued work ‘Lux Perpetua’, q. v.

[4] A series of publications collectively edited at this time by August Fischer and Heinrich Zimmern

[5] A reprint of the first edition thus of 1968, itself a reprint of the original edition published by J. C. Hinrichs’sche Buchhandlung, Leipzig, in 1915. The 1968 date is retained to the front cover of this edition

[6] Nominally, this is a periodical; but the present issue is effectively a standalone publication

[7] Essentially a set of ephemerides for eleven select fixed stars, positions shown at 50-year intervals from 1500-2000

[8] These appear to be quite separate points from the eleven fixed stars detailed in the printed book. The source of the research for them is not apparent

[9] I cannot make much sense of these ephemerides. The eleven fixed stars in the printed book have been divided into three groups, one containing Sirius, Wega, Canopus, Regulus and Bungula (labelled ‘FS5’); one containing Antares, Aldebaran, Spica and Arcturus (labelled ‘FS4’); and one containing Rigel and Atair (labelled ‘FS2’). Each group would then appear to have had the positions of its members (at 50-year intervals) expressed in degrees and minutes on a 45º dial, before the mean value of the resultant degree numbers has been calculated. The purpose of this exercise is unclear to me

[10] This is thought highly likely to refer to astrologer Edith Wangemann; but whether she was the owner of this document or it was merely typed up by someone else based on her published work is not clear

[11] Said to be “aus Astrologische Monatshefte 3-4, 1960”. (There is a two-inch tear to the inner edge of the main lateral fold and a one-inch tear to the outer edge of the same.)

[12] Astrologer and antiquarian bookdealer of Pforzheim, Germany; former owner of many 20th century German books in this collection

[13] At this time, Director of the Schroeter Institute for Research in Cycles of Solar Activity, and on the board of directors of the International Committee for Research in Environmental Factors at the Free University of Brussels

[14] Presumed Hans Hausmann

[15] The original title and publication data also appears in German on the following page

[16] Guessed to be from the late 1990s

[16a] In view of its smaller size format and longer page count, this issue seems likely to date from the 1990s, although it might not be the first printing

[17] Subtitled on rear cover only: “Delineation of the Eastpoint and Antiverte as adjutant Ascendants and of the Midheavens derived from them”

[18] This features three dials that are designed to be cut out, but have been deliberately left intact in this instance

[18a] Supplied with ‘Diseases, Pathologies and Asteroid Names, Numbers and Notes’, q. v. below

[18b] This copy purchased new from the author in 2019; the work is believed to date back to the mid-2010s

[19] A book of medical astrological research, specifically into brain tumours

[20] These eight numbered pages, and the two unnumbered ones before them, are printed at right angles to the lie of the book, thus with each line running from the bottom towards the top of the page

[20a] A credit list follows: ‘Shillito Reader in and Professor of Assyriology, Oxford; Fellow of the British Academy; Membre Correspondant de l’Institut de France’

[21] A bound photocopy of a serialised magazine article in nine parts. Appears devoted to natal delineations. The source is not apparent. The photocopy also features the start of a translation from the Dutch of an article by a Martinus said to have been first published in 1954, indicating a likely date in the period 1955-1970 for the source of this photocopy. But the photocopy itself could be as late as the mid-1990s, since it has been bound up in the same type of binding as Rudolf Fischer’s 1996 price list, and is from the same source

[22] In the pagination that follows, I have indicated the original pages spanned by the relevant text, ignoring ones that only contain the starts or ends of other article
