Gilt titling to spine only partly faded and still clear to read. Cloth retains a pleasingly deep colour – most copies are more faded. Sympathetically designed period pictorial black-and-white ex-Libris label adhered to ffep. Minor traces of dark-staining to part of front paste-down, with slight transfer to equivalent area of ffep. No other markings or faults found. The binding remains strong throughout. An excellent copy of the sought-after true first edition. |
