Gilt to spine remains fairly strong and bright. In vgc- original dj, which has a few very short tears to top edge of front panel, minimal chipping to foot of front side of spine, 2 cm tear to foot of front flap-fold, 1.5 cm tear to top of rear flap-fold, a little white staining to lower parts of spine, and tiny patch of staining to front panel; front flap price-clipped. Tiny dark stain to outer margin of p. 31, slightly transferred to equivalent portion of outer margin of facing page; similar to gutter of pp. 92-3. Tiny reddish stain after ‘l’ of ‘until’ on p. 245. Plain-pencilled underlining to p. 38; pp. 42-3; pp. 223-4; p. 287. Maroon astrological notes to upper margin of title page to Part Two [p. 303]. Plain-pencilled label to upper margin of chart on p. 304. Black-inked underlining to pp. 329-330. and p. 337.
