July sales (Astrolearn Vintage Astrology CDs and used books)

July sales (Astrolearn CDs and used books);

History article in the Astrological Journal

I’m pleased to announce that for the rest of July 2016, there is a special offer on Astrolearn Vintage Astrology CDs of five for the standard price of 2½ – yes, a half-price sale. You get a free choice of any five of the 18 titles available, and there is no limit to the number of orders per customer at this price, so if you so wish, you can order three lots of five and get fifteen of the total number of titles – or two lots of five – or just one lot.

Meanwhile, subscribers to the Astrological Journal of the Astrological Association of Great Britain can read my eight-page article on the history of early astrological journals from 1700-1830 in the July / August 2016 issue. In this article, I present some original research, and correct some pervasive falsehoods in existing historical narratives. Among the original research – the earliest documented unequivocal attribution in print of the sign rulership of Aquarius to the planet Uranus, pushing back the existingly accepted date by at least a year, from 1825 to 1824; and the scorn poured on Ebenezer Sibly by the editor of the Astrologer’s Magazine and Philosophical Miscellany, a publication sometimes erroneously connected with him.

With best wishes to all,

Philip
